KANCHANPUR, June 14: The task for constructing shelters for Dalit Community in Kanchanpur district under People's Housing Program has been started.
The Department of Urban Development and Building Construction Division Office, Dhangadhi, started constructing houses for the community under this programme.
A total of 500 houses are being constructed including 40 at Shuklaphanta, 53 at Bedkot, 32 at Punarbas, 74 at Mahakali, 47 at Krishnapur, 19 at Baise Bichawa and Raikabar Bichawa, 26 at Beldandi, and 17 at Rampur Bilasipur and Shreepur, and 124 at Bhimdutta Municipality under the programme, said engineer Mohan Raj Awasthi.
A total of Rs 215,239 has been provided for the construction of each house. Similarly, 1,250 houses would be constructed for Dalit, Raute and Muslim Communities in Kailali under the programme. RSS
