UDAYAPUR, Dec 13: A man died after being attacked by a wild elephant in the district on Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Buddhiman Magar, 50, of Belaka municipality-3.

The elephand had attacked him while he was herding cattle yesterday evening in the nearby jungle.
Critically injured Magar succumbed to his injuries before his family members could rush him to hospital.
According to police the elephant is likely to have strayed over into Udaypur from Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve which is located on the border between Sunsari and Udayapur.
