We have read and listened to countless interviews of this charming lady, but below she shares five things about herself that are as interesting as fun to find out.She used to be nearsighted
We're talking about her eye problem. Who knew, Malvika, with such bright and expressive eyes, would hardly see without the aid of her -9.5 powered lens until a few years back! "My eyesight was a major hurdle to my career, but thanks to medical science, I got my eyes treated three years back and my eyesight now is perfect," she says.
She is claustrophobic
Malvika is one of the best emcees in Nepal and her on-stage presence is lauded both nationally and internationally. With many experiences of hosting national and international shows, she's one of the busiest show hosts of the country. But she admits she's petrified of being in a closed space amidst people. "When I'm on stage, give me 50K people and I can handle them easily but it terrifies me when I'm among them," she shares.
She's an introvert
Yes, she's a popular emcee, is strongly opinionated, makes heads turn when she walks the ramp, and appears to be extremely social, but only very few people know that deep inside, Malvika is an introvert. "Unlike what many people expect, it takes me a long time to feel comfortable with people. Many find it difficult to believe that I'm actually introverted," she shares.
She's scared of heights
Her career demands lots of travelling, but as she's scared of heights, she tries to avoid flights as much as possible. "It's much worse than normal nervousness about leaving the ground. I've had anxiety attacks a couple of times, and I've had to listen to music and hold on to someone's hand to calm my nerves," she shares, adding, "When I'm on an airplane, I can't even talk to people or listen to them. I constantly feel like I'm dying."
She initiated the talk for her big day with her mother-in-law
When Riyaj Shrestha and she decided to tie the knot, she didn't wait for anyone else to fix the big date for her. Nor did she rely on anyone to do the talk with the groom's family. Malvika took up the 'daunting' task herself. "It was difficult and slightly awkward, too, but I did it, and it went really well," she shares.
