5 things about Arjan Pandey

Although an IT engineer by profession, Arjan Pandey is an absolute musician at heart. He entered the Nepali music industry with his first song ‘Oiliyera Jharna Dinna’, from his first album Naya Sapana, in 2015. An Image Award recipient of 2016, his recent song 'Rellimai' was well received by Nepali music lovers. A student of MBA, at CG Institute of Management, he is currently prepping up for his upcoming songs which are to be released this month.

In conversation with My City’s Sonam Lama, Pandey revealed the lesser-known facts about him.

Can’t handle spicy food
Besides spicy food, every other food variety pleases his palate. He can’t handle spicy food and says that's the reason why he's had to stay away from Pani Puri. Thus, eating at home is a more convenient option for him.

Obsessed with colognes
He is fond of smelling good. Most of his collections include mild fragrances of CK and Versace.

“I love trying different brands. However, since I receive most of them as gifts from friends and family, I happily accept them,” he laughed.

Sleep paralysis
He has been dealing with sleep paralysis for quite some time now. The musician says he experiences them at least once a week.

“Sleep paralysis cannot be explained in words. It is difficult to differentiate if it is happening for real or while in sleep,” shared Pandey.

Maha Jodi fan
Fond of watching action, comedy and heroic movies, he equally takes pleasure watching the Maha Jodi on screen.

"I enjoy watching their work. Their on-screen chemistry, with a strong sense of humor, is what interests me and draws my attention as a viewer,” stated Pandey.

Ardent Keyboard player
Although he is garnering early interests in guitar, he has long been indulged in keyboard -- ever since he was in grade 5.

"The music compositions of John Mayor are among my favorites. During my spare hours, I enjoy performing cover-version songs. However, I have only published a cover song by Coldplay so far,” he added.
