KATHMANDU, Dec26: Goodwill Finance Company Ltd (GFCL) has launched 'IamMba' campaign, or I am Master of Bachat and Arjan (I am master of saving and income), amid a ceremony held in the capital on Monday. Nepal Rastra Bank's deputy governor Shiba Raj Shrestha and former governor Himalaya Shumsher JB Rana jointly inaugurated the campaign. According to Saroj Kaji Tuladhar, CEO of the company, the campaign is aimed to educate and spread awareness regarding why saving and investment is important among the lower income groups and youth of Nepal for the development of the economy. Tuladhar said that awareness and educational programs will be held in 15 colleges to educate the youth on the importance of banking and saving habit. Similarly, the company has also developed a free downloadable app 'IamMBA' to teach people about basic finance with features like exchange rate converter, financial news, financial articles, stock exchange rate and gold silver price among others. The company has also launched a book entitled 'Saving for Income' which contains a story of a self-made man who came from nothing and rose to success and the history of banking, according to a statement issued by the company.
