KATHMANDU, Sept. 1: The weeklong joint military exercise of BIMSTEC member states is going to happen in Pune city of India from September 12, the Nepal Army Spokesperson Gokul Bhandari confirmed.
According to Bhandari, 30 army personnel from each BIMSTEC state members would participate in the joint military parade, the first of its kind in between the BIMSTEC member states. It is said that the weeklong event would be focused on counterterrorism and disaster management. Chiefs of Army Staff from the BIMSTEC member states are also scheduled to visit Pune to observe the joint military exercise.
