KHOTANG, June 11: District Education Coordination Unit, Khotang is organizing a readmission campaign in an effort to allow children who missed admission in the beginning of the academic year to join school.
The campaign is being organized with an objective to secure education rights by giving access to education to those children.
After finding out that many children were missing school due to delay in admission, the district authorities initiated this campaign with the slogan 'Nobody should be deprived of education', informed Thakur Prasad Dahal, chief of the Education Coordination Unit. He further added that the campaign was held as per the decision of the council of ministers.
“We got the information that over 50 percent of children in the district were not included in the first phase of admission. This time, we will organize door-to-door campaign and meeting with parents for the admission of their children,” he said.
“Along with admission, we are also going to ensure that every student has textbooks.”
