The lawmakers while reminding the agreement made in the Special Committee to complete all remaining tasks of integration of the Maoist combatants by Sunday have asked the top leaders to complete the peace process within the stipulated date at any cost.
“The issue of integration of the Maoist combatants should be completed through the Special Committee meeting scheduled for Sunday at any cost”" the statement further said.
The lawmakers, likewise, have urged the top leadership of the parties to settle all contentious issues related to the formation of Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Disappearance Commission by April 12.
They have also urged the leadership to continue discussions on various contentious issues to be included in the new constitution.
"We the members of Constituent Assembly will be forced to take strong steps if political parties fail to settle all remaining issues of peace process and develop understanding on the remaining contentious issues of constitution drafting by April 12," adds the statement.
