In the list of grooming problems that plague men in the changing weather, dandruff would definitely come in the top three. And the dandruff shed can especially be annoying when it doubles-up in the winter and your shoulders become grounds for perpetual scab-fall, such that you have to constantly brush it off every ten minutes.

Now here's the thing, while this shed is obviously very inconvenient, but it's also very unhealthy. The falling dandruff is also a major reason behind hair loss.

Thankfully, tackling dandruff is not that hard as it might seem. Apart from getting your hands on anti-dandruff shampoo and creams from the local drugstore, it's also important to try out other remedies that will help you nix dandruff.

Here are some of the remedies that'll help you with your journey to reduce dandruff.

1. Tea Tree Oil

A study suggests that using tea tree oil along with your shampoo and regular hair oil can significantly lower your dandruff, dryness and hair fall. Besides, the essence of the tea tree will definitely reduce the dryness of your scalp which is always a good thing. So, just add a few drops to your shampoo or you could also apply a few drops before you go to sleep.

Fun fact: Tea tree oil is a great sleep-inducer. Try tea tree organic essential oil.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar

The acidity of apple cider vinegar has properties that can change the pH level of your scalp and also significantly reduce dandruff by way of attacking the fungi on your scalp. But remember that you can't use it without diluting it. So, every week, mix a quarter cup of apple cider vinegar with a quarter of water into a spray bottle and spritz it all over your hair after giving it a rinse. Tie a towel around your head tightly for fifteen minutes for visible results.

3. Lemon Juice

Lemon juice has both antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that rid the fungi from the hair and also nourish the scalp skin-deep. Every week, you could squeeze a lemon or two in a bowl and apply the juice evenly on your scalp with the help of a cotton ball.

4. Yoghurt

The extra-nourishing properties of yoghurt will help nix not just the fungi growth but will also nourish your hair. Yoghurt also can soothe your scalp, so it won't be itchy anymore.
