Talking to NC cadres in Lekhnath, Pokhara, Paudel said, “When I was peace minister I wanted to deposit combatants allowances in their individual bank accounts but there was a sudden change in government and the Maoists did as they pleased.”[break]
He even accused UNMIN of coming under Maoist influence. “UNMIM played a major role to increase the number of Maoist combatants that didn´t exist.”
