President Poudel admitted to TUTH, to be airlifted to India for further treatment

KATHMANDU, April 18: Following a deterioration in his health condition, President Ram Chandra Poudel has been admitted to TU Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj. Sources indicate that an infection has been detected in Poudel’s stomach as a result of gastritis problem.

KATHMANDU, April 18: Following a deterioration in his health condition, President Ram Chandra Poudel has been admitted to TU Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj. Sources indicate that an infection has been detected in Poudel’s stomach as a result of gastritis problem.

A cabinet minister told Republica that the government has initiated necessary arrangements to transport him to India for further treatment. He said that discussions are currently underway with doctors involved in Poudel's treatment to airlift him to India via air ambulance on Wednesday.


President Poudel had previously been admitted to the hospital five days ago after experiencing gastritis problems. The level of oxygen has depleted his body, according to doctors involved in his treatment.
