In order to explore consensus regarding the jurisdiction of experts’ panel for the state restructuring process, the UCPN (Maoist) has called the parliamentary party meeting at 11 this morning while the CPN-UML is holding discussion in the parliamentary party meeting Friday at 10.30 am .

After the obstruction caused to the task of 11th amendment to the interim constitution on November 16 with strong protests from UCPN (Maoist) Baidhya camp, UML’s parliamentarians from indigenous nationalities and Madhes-based ethnic groups, the big parties have intensified their efforts to explore the meeting point for this.

Though the government has tabled the agenda of forming experts’ panel for state restructuring by amending the interim constitution, the process has been stalled owing to the obstruction by Baidhya camp and caucus,

Preparations are being intensified to make 11th amendment to the interim constitution from the today’s meeting of Legislature-parliament if consensus could be forged among the political parties on the jurisdiction of the experts’ panel.
