Mohan Bhattarai of Consumers´ Forum, who was in the monitoring team, said the sweet shop was sealed after it was found using substandard raw materials to produce sweets and other food commodities in unhygienic environment. [break]
"We have sealed the shop as a punishment for playing with people´s health," added Bhattarai.
Adarsha Jalapan Griha is famous in Biratnagar for sweets and vegetarian dishes. The team also seized 45 bags of expired gram flour from Mittal Enterprises.
Similarly, the team also destroyed expired food items put on sale at Quality Center in Biratnagar-12.
