KATHMANDU, JULY 27: Following widespread criticism of the proposal of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya to hand over Rani Pokhari reconstruction to Nepal Army, the metropolitan city is considering to backtrack on the proposal. The KMC now plans to carry out the reconstruction itself.

KATHMANDU, Dec 19: The team of Nepali film ‘Rajja Rani’ has initiated an awareness campaign from Monday with the aim to promote the film that is based on child marriage and dowry system mostly prevalent in the  tarai region.

A romantic song ‘Chippak Chippak’ from the movie ‘Rajja Rani’ was released amid an event on Saturday. ‘Rajja Rani’ is set to release nationwide on January 5, 2018. The movie features actors Keki Adhikari and Najir Hussain in lead roles. The lyric of the song has been penned by Rajendra Thapa while Narahari Premi and Sumina Lo have given their voices to the song. The music is by Dipak Sharma.

Rani Mukherji, who last appeared in Mardaani – a film on child trafficking, directed by Pradeep Sarkar – has now confirmed to star in Hichki (hiccup), which will mark her return to Bollywood after she took time off last year to look after her daughter Adira with husband Aditya Chopra.
