Nepal Republic Media gets new union leadership

KATHMANDU, Aug 27: The first convention of the trade union at Nepal Republic Media Pvt Ltd on Saturday elected a new leadership led by journalist Ujir Magar.



 Arpan Shrestha has been elected vice-chairman, Romharsha Khanal secretary, and Navaraj Nepal has been elected treasurer of the 13-member executive body.[break]



Similarly Baburam Pun, Narayan Chaulagain, Smriti Dhungana, Chandra Kafle, Gopal Shrestha, Gokarna Lamsal, Tirtha Ojha, Shivaraj Bhattarai and Raj Kumar Karki have been elected members of the union.



Inaugurating the convention at Imadol, Lalitpur, chief guest Binod Raj Gyawali, managing director of Nepal Republic Media, said the company´s management looks forward to working as per the union´s feedback.



Editor-in-Chief of Nagarik daily Narayan Wagle and Editor-in-Chief of Shukrawar (weekly) Kishor Nepal advised the union members to work in accordance with the real spirit of union, which is to work for the collective interests of the company and its employees.
