Indian Army team's trip to Mustang aborted

BAGLUNG, Aug 11: A Mustang-bound Nepal Army (NA) chopper carrying high-ranking officers of Indian Army could not land in Jomsom due to adverse weather conditions on Thursday.



The NA chopper could not land and had to return to Pokhara due to inclement weather conditions, informed Colonel Ram Rana at Nepal Army’s military academy in Jomsom, the district headquarters of Mustang. [break]



The Indian Army team led by Lt General DS Thakur was scheduled to observe the NA academy in Jomsom and visit the holy shrine of Muktinath in Mustang.



The NA chopper had left Kathmandu for Jomsom at 8:00 am .
