JANAKPUR, Aug 3: Sarlahi Police has arrested three persons on the charge of being involved in the murder of three in Pidariya-9, Sarlahi on Monday night over a property dispute.

The Superintendent of Police (SP) in Sarlahi Mohan Raj Joshi refused to reveal the identity of the trio saying their involvement has not been established yet. [break]

SP Joshi said initial investigations indicate that Rajendra Shah might have murdered his younger brother Rameshwor, six-month pregnant sister-in-law Surakiya and their nine-year-old daughter Khusbu.

Police suspect the involvement of Rajendra and his accomplices as neighbors claimed that Rajendra and his sons, Suresh and Naresh, stayed till late night drinking along with some persons whom they had called from outside.

While the police have yet to recover the bodies of Rameshwor and his daughter Khusbu, no one from Rajendra´s family, who had apparently fled the village before the locals learnt about the murders, has been nabbed.
