67.9 ml rainfall recorded in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, July 20: Department of Weather Forecasting recorded the highest rainfall in the Capital in this year during the last 24 hours.



According to the record, Kathmandu received 67.9 milliliter rainfall until 6 am Wednesday since Tuesday afternoon said weather expert Indra Bikram Singh.[break]



Similarly, the central and western development regions will receive heavy rainfall on Wednesday as the pressure of minimum rain flow was moving to west from the east, said Singh.



Meanwhile, following the incessant rainfall for the last 24 hours different rivers in the Capital get their water level increased that the landless squatters living around Bagmati, Vishnumati Rivers´ bank were suggested to move to safe places, said police.
