Speaking at an interaction in the capital on Tuesday, he said integration of the Maoist combatants cannot be carried out by taking measurement of the chest and fulfilling other requirements as in the Nepal Army.[break]
He also made it clear that the intra-party differences would not have any effect on the peace process and the constitution drafting process.
Nepali Congress leader Dr Minendra Rijal said the Maoist combatants carrying UCPN (Maoist) party membership cannot be integrated into Nepal Army and police.
As Maoist cadres they cannot join the army or police, he said.
CPN-UML leader Pradip Gyawali said the key to completing the peace process and the constitution drafting process lies with the Maoists.
Gyawali also warned of a multi-sectoral conflict in the country, if the draft of the new constitution was not completed by August 31.
He said a Maoist-led government could be formed if the basic tasks related to the peace process was completed.
