KATHMANDU, Aug 3: Metropolitan Police Range Office, Kathmandu has formed a three-member probe committee to look into the case related to death threat of Nepal Communist Party lawmaker Niru Pal.
According to SSP Bishwo Raj Pokharel, Chief of MPRO, SP Ram Datta Joshi, DSP Govinda Kafle and Inspector Surendra KC are members in the probe panel.
An unidentified man wielding a gun had attacked Pal at a narrow alley in Thapagaun, Kathmandu at 8:15 on last Tuesday.
Pal is also a member of the Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee.
Earlier police had arrested as many as 75 individuals in connection with Pal's death threat. Thirty-four people among those arrested for investigation have been released already and now the investigation is underway on only 16 individuals.
