POKHARA, April 5: Nepali Congress acting President Sushil Koirala on Sunday said integration of Maoist combatants into national army would lead the country to civil war.

"The Maoists are trying to invite civil war in the country by inducting their fighters in Nepal army," said Koirala, addressing a press meet organized by Press Union, Kaski. "So the combatants can be used for industrial and border security."

Koirala also blamed the Maoists for breaching politics of consensus and delay the statute drafting process in various pretexts. He termed Maoist-led administration a "jungle raj" and that the government has failed to control murder, violence and crimes. He also rejected outright the possibility of his party joining the government. "We won’t join the government to surrender before the Maoists."
