27 complaints against UCPN (Maoist) leaders

CHITWAN, Feb. 23: A total of 27 complaints have been filed against the UCPN (Maoist) leaders for their alleged involved in embezzlement and living a lavish life in Chitwan district in the party´s district-level probe commission.



The UCPN (Maoist) has started a grievances hearing provision after a series of questions were raised against the party cadres regarding their financial discipline and others. [break]



Member of the probe committee Pravu Prasad Mahato said most of the cases were filed against the party´s central committee and state committee members.



He said five plaints have been filed against a state committee leader. But, name of the leader has not been made public.



The complaints filed against the central and state committee members would be forwarded at the party headquarters while investigations into others were underway at the district level, he added.



Coordinator of the probe commission Yam Bahadur Pariyar said that all the cases would be finalized soon after completing the investigations into the charges.
