PM Oli questions intention of no-confidence motion

KATHMANDU, July 24: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Sunday said that formation and dissolution of governments are features of a democratic system.

Speaking at Legislature-Parliament during the discussion over the no-confidence motion filed against him, the Prime Minister said that the proposal was not uncommon for him as he believes in people’s supremacy and parliamentary system.

He, however, claimed that the motion was not appropriate for intention it carried, adding that the need of the hour was to implement the constitution.

Saying that he came to power during a difficult time, the Prime Minister said it was sad to change the government at the time when it is overcoming the hindrances.

 “The game for a change in the government at this time is mysterious,” he said.

The Prime Minister futher claimed that he was punished for doing good works.

He also accused that attempts to bring down the government are being made to break the needed co-work among parties for implementing the constitution.
