12 injured in clash with police

CHITWAN, Nov 27: Around a dozen people were allegedly injured in a clash with police in Chitwan Saturday.



The injured are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in the district. [break]



The clash ensued when police tried to open the highway disrupted by local residents at Bakulahar of Ratnagar Municipality demanding action those behind the death of custodial death of Som Bahadur Darai and compensation to his family.



Among the injured condition of a local is said to be serious. However, police claimed that only four locals sustained minor injuries in the clash.



Six hurt in road mishap

DAMAULI: Six passengers injured when a bus met with an accident at Deurali of Ghasikuwa-8 in Tanahun Friday night.



Among the injured, condition of Dhiraj Gurung (14) of Aabukhareni-7 whose condition is said to be serious has been undergoing treatment in Pokhara. The others are receiving treatment in Damauli.



The bus (Na 3 Kha 6801) was returning from Baglung carrying locals of Aabukhareni after picnic, according to the District Police Office.
