The deceased has been identified as Chakman Lamjel, 65, of hut no. 76 in sector C-1 of the camp.
Police said Lamjel committed suicide hanging him on a tree with a plastic rope 50 meters far away from the hut. His son Birkha Bahadur found him in a hanging condition.
Lamjel died on the way to Amda treatment center. Police are trying to ascertain why Lamjel committed suicide.
Woman swept away
UDAYAPUR, Sept 22: A woman was swept away by flooding in Tawakhola at Katari of Udayapur district.
The deceased is Mina Kumari Paudyal (68) of Katari VDC-2. It is learnt that her body was found Wednesday morning on the river bank some 500 meters downstream.
Katari Area Police Office said the river swept away her while she crossing it on her way to Simrai.
