A permanent resident of Purandhara VDC-9, Dang district, Dangi is skilled at playing the madal, sings duets and recites from sacred books like the Mahabharat and Ramayan at the fair. He eagerly participates in duets with interested visitors.

“He has been the main attraction of the fair,” said Pokharel. “Those who come to see him marvel at his singing.”

Minister for Information and Communication Krishna Bahadur Mahara, who visited the fair on Tuesday, shook hands with the ‘little’ man and had a brief conversation with him.

Over 100,000 people have already visited the fair that began January 27 with the objective of promoting domestic products.
