According to Joshi, nearly 300 grams of brown sugar and seven kilograms of hashish were recovered from the suspects.

Joshi highlighted that parental supervision is crucial, as the lack of it can lead to children’s involvement in drug use and dealing. He urged citizens and parents to be vigilant about this serious issue.

SP Joshi added that the police have intensified their activities in the areas where drugs are traded and along the border, where drugs are smuggled from India

“Drug dealings have been observed from border settlements to the district headquarters,” he said. “We are also conducting awareness programs.” Most of the individuals arrested in drug cases are young people.

Joshi said that he is coordinating with Indian security agencies to control drug trafficking.

In addition, in the last nine months, the police arrested 160 fugitive suspects in Kanchanpur and took necessary action against them.
