RAJBIRAJ, Aug 26: Police arrested a dozen of demonstrators who blocked vehicular movement along the East-West Highway at Bisanpur in Saptari district demanding presidential rule in the country on Thursday. Those arrested are from Kalyanpur area.

Some locals from Saptari have been staging demonstrations demanding that all the 601 members of the Constituent Assembly (CA) tender their resignation and presidential rule be imposed. They claimed it became necessary as leaders from political parties utterly failed to end the ongoing political deadlock.

Those arrested are Manoj Kumar Yadav, Ramphal Chaudhary, Sabendra Yadav, Subhas Yadav, Hari Sah and Sujit Kumar Yadav. Inspector Padam Thapaliya said they have been kept at area police office at Kalyanpur.
