KATHMANDU, July 15:  Nepal Police has arrested middlemen who caused trouble to the service-seekers at the Transport Management Office at Sano Bharyang. A team of Police Circle Swayambhu arrested six persons on Thursday for forcibly dragging the service-seekers and telling them their work will be done soon, and obstructing government work.


The ones arrested are Ajay Magar, 24, and Bir Bahadur Magar, 34, from Udayapur, Vishwaballab Lama, 33, and Subash Yojan, 24, from Rautahat, Vishal Upreti, 24, from Jhapa, and Vishal Pulani, 24, from Sarlahi.  Dinesh Raj Mailani, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Kathmandu, said they were arrested because they extorted money from the service-seekers.

Spokesman Mainali said that the arrested persons are being investigated by the district administration office for the offense of 'indecent behavior' under Section 118 of the Civil Criminal Offenses (Code) Act, 2074, by extending their custody for seven days.
