Irshad Miya, a cyclist, of Bisrampur-3 of the district was killed being struck by a speeding bus (Na 3 Kha 2106) at around 11:30 am, police said. He died on the spot. [break]
Likewise, a passenger of the bus, was killed after the bus lost its control and overturned on the road. The deceased’s identity is yet to be established.
Of the injured, two are said to be in critical condition. Both of them have been receiving treatment at Narayani Sub Regional Hospital in Birgunj.
The other 14 injured have been undergoing general treatment at the district hospital, Bara.
Early this morning, two persons were killed and seven others injured when a bus bound for Birgunj from Pokhara met with an accident in Simara of the same district.
