KATHMANDU, Oct 18: Police have arrested two men on the charge of swindling seven people with promises of European jobs.
A team of Metropolitan Police Crime Division, Teku on Monday arrested Samjhana KC of Thakre VDC, Dhading, currently staying at Kalanki, and Ananda KC of Salyan VDC, Kaski, currently staying at Dhobighat, Lalitpur.
KC and Karki are associated with Reckon Educational Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. and High Link Educational Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. based in Koteshwor respectively.
The accused duo KC and Karki allegedly fleeced seven people including Bharat BK of Binamare VDC, Baglung of Rs 1 million each, promising them with European jobs and left them high and dry in RUSSIA.
Based on the complaint lodged by the victims, police arrested KC and Karki from Baneshwor today and sent them to the Department of Foreign Employment, Buddhanagar for further action.
