The Maoists thrashed Prabin Syangtan at Ratmatedanda while he was on his way to his home at Manikhel, Lalitpur. With deep bruises in several parts of the body, Syangtan is currently undergoing treatment at Alka Hospital, Lalipur.
NC Acting President Sushil Koirala reached the hospital on Saturday to inquire about his health condition. Koirala denounced the attack and warned that the Maoists would not get a chance to lead government if the party continued attacking cadres of the rival parties.
