DHAMBOJHI, May 31: A total of 185 malaria patients have been found in state-5. According to statistics released by State-5 Health Directorate under the Social Development Ministry revealed this.
The statistics were released at an interaction related to malaria organized in Nepalgunj.
Baitadi at high risk of malaria
The statistics read that 49 malaria patients have been found in Kapalvastu, 34 in Bardiya, 24 in Rupandehi, 10 in Dang, seven each in Arghakhachi and Nawalparasi (east) and two in Palpa.
As per the statistics released by Director of the State-5 Health Directorate, Dinesh Kumar Chapagain, there are 52 malaria patients in Banke. Although the government has launched a campaign for the malaria-free nation within 2025 BS under the slogan "Zero malaria starts with me', Banke is at high risk of malaria disease.
Though the campaign launched by the government has helped to reduce the number of malaria patients, Banke is a high risk of malaria disease in the state-5.
