Speaking with reporters after the meeting of the big three parties—Unified CPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and UML—at the Constituent Assembly building on Wednesday, the PM said that he is in favor of consensus among parties.[break]
NC acting president Sushil Koirala said that the PM’s resignation was not only the reason for present deadlock, the issues regarding peace process should also be discussed prior to it.
Vice-chairman of Unified CPN (Maoist) Narayankaji Shrestha said that he found the PM positive in resolving the political deadlock. He also asked the PM to take the bold decision.
“PM will resign if the NC and UML took a decision to this effect,” Shrestha said.
The leaders have agreed to hold talks on Thursday too.
