KATHMANDU, Dec 2: The CK Raut-led Janamat Party has demanded the resignation of Speaker Devraj Ghimire.
The Janamat Party has demanded the resignation of Speaker Ghimire after the Federal Parliament Secretariat failed to take action despite repeated recommendations for action against legislator Goma Labh Sapkota.

Janamat Party Spokesperson Sharad Singh Yadav issued a statement on Monday accusing Speaker Ghimire of working as a member of a particular political party.
It is mentioned in the statement, “The Speaker has gone beyond his jurisdiction, like an activist of a particular party, and has engaged in illegal, unconstitutional and highly criminal acts, which pose a criminal threat to parliament and democracy itself.”
The Janamat party pointed out that the party has not taken any action against Sapkota, as she is related to the Speaker.
