18 bitten by rabid cat in Morang

BIRATNAGAR, April 5: A rabid cat has terrorized the residents of Barnga village of Morang. Eighteen people including 6 children have already been bitten by the cat.



The injured are being referred to the Koshi Zone Hospital at Biratnagar.



According to Dr Sailendra Rajbanshi at theDistrict Hospital in Rangeli, the vaccine shortage occurred as the govt-run regional medical store sends only 120 vials of vaccine to the hospital per month.



The locals have killed the cat.
