Cadres of Young Communist League (YCL), a youth wing of Unified CPN (Maoist), assaulted five businessmen on Tuesday night accusing them of not donating the party. [break]
Bhim Singh Thapa, Rakesh Batas, Kirshna Shrestha, Mani Thapa and Tara Rana were severely beaten by the YCL cadres.
Meanwhile, Maoist in-charge of Tanahu Region No. 3 Biswajit admitted that there had been a minor scuffle after the businessmen turned down their request to stop playing cards.
"Our cadres did not assault the businessmen for not donating the party," he said.
