Maoist leader killed

BUTWAL, April 26: A group of around 12 unidentified assailants shot dead Abadh State Committee member of the UCPN (Maoist) Rajendra Tiwari in Kapilvastu Monday evening.



According to police inspector Sanak Bikram Malla at Pakadi police post, Tiwari was shot dead at around 7:30 pm while he was on his way home from on a motorcycle from his brick kiln in Baluhawa that shares border with India.



He was shot twice in the head.



Locals said the assailants fled toward India after the attack.
