DHANGADHI, Aug 9: The fifth session of the Sudurpaschim Province Assembly has been scheduled for August 11. Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah is set to take a vote of confidence in the new session.
Following the recommendations of the provincial cabinet meeting, Provincial Chief Najir Miya called for the session, which will begin at 2 PM on Sunday.
The letter convening the session has already been sent to Speaker Bhim Bahadur Bhandari by the office of the province chief. This follows the conclusion of the special session on Wednesday night, during which the government introduced and certified an ordinance related to tax collection.
CM Shah, supported by the CPN-UML and Nagarik Unmukti Party, holds a comfortable majority. In addition to seeking a vote of confidence, Shah is also preparing to present the budget for the current Fiscal Year (FY) during this session.
