Sushila BK, 35, who had gone to a wedding reception in the neighborhood, was raped by 34-year-old Mahendra Bismagar of the village, according to the police.
She breathed her last while being taken to Mission Hospital in Tansen after being found in an unconscious state in a field about 50 meters away from the wedding place.
Police said Bismagar admitted to raping her in a state of inebriation. Police had found Bismagar´s mobile set and a cap from the incident site. Police assume that he strangulated her to death.
BK has two sons while her husband has been in Qatar for foreign employment for two years.
