14 die of COVID-19 in Banke in the past two days

NEPALGUNJ, May 14: As many as 14 people died of COVID-19 in Banke district in the past two days. 

According to the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Center of Banke, nine of those dying of COVID-19 are from Banke district while 5 others are from other adjoining districts. 

According to Tej Oli, focal person for DCCMC, a 28-year-old male from Kohalpur-1 succumbed to the virus while undergoing treatment at the Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital on Thursday.

Similarly, a 62-year-old male from Baijnath-6 died at Bheri Hospital after suffering from the contagious disease at 10:30 AM on Thursday. He tested positive for COVID-19 on May 9.

A 56-year-old female from Tikapur-7 of Kailali breathed her last at Bheri Hospital. Also, a 50-year-old male and a 29-year-old female from Nepalgunj-20 of Banke succumbed to the virus while undergoing treatment at the Bheri Hospital. 

Focal person Oli said a 25-year-old female from Tulsipur-5 of Dang also died of COVID-19 while undergoing treatment at the Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital. Similarly, a 64-year-old male from Baijnath-6 of Banke died at the Teaching Hospital of Kohalpur on Thursday. 

Also, a 75-year-old female breathed her last at Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital on Thursday. Another 42-year-old male from Narainapur-5 of Banke who was being treated at Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital for COVID-19 infection breathed his last at 2:45 AM on Thursday. 

In yet another case of death linked to COVID-19, a 70-year-old female died while undergoing treatment at the Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital at 9 PM on Wednesday. She was admitted to the hospital on May 11. She tested positive for COVID-19 a day later. 

A 32-year-old female from Gulariya-8 of Bardiya died after suffering from the virus at Bheri Hospital on Wednesday, according to the Hospital.

Also, a 43-year-old male from Tulsipur-6 of Dang died on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at the Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital of Kohalpur. Similarly, a 56-year-old male from Rajapur-6 of Bardiya district and a 46-year-old female from Nepalgunj-1 of Banke breathed their last at Bheri Hospital on Wednesday.
