BUSINESS BRIEFS: Yasuda's C88 CDMA phone in market

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Call Mobility Pvt Ltd - the authorized distributor of Yasuda Mobile for Nepal -- has launched another CDMA handset in the market.



The C88 CDMA phone costing Rs 2,849 have color display and FM radio. [break]



“The new handset has Qualcomm chipset (world´s best CDMA chipset) for better network clarity and comes with a year warranty on phone and six months warranty on battery,” Call Mobility said in a statement on Wednesday.



The company has also join hands with United Telecom Limited (UTL) to make the phone available though UTL Customer Care Center at Hattisar. The company is also providing free UTL´s U-SIM card with the purchase of the new set.



“The U-SIM is specially devised for Yasuda mobile customers with talk time worth Rs 1200 (Rs 100 per month for 12 months valid for UTL-UTL calls).





Bank of Asia in Dharan



KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Bank of Asia Nepal Limited has opened its 23rd branch in Dharan.



Trilok Chand Agrawal, chairman of the bank, inaugurated the bank, according to a press statement received on Wednesday.



“The bank will provide various facilities such as personal financial facilities, organizational banking services and all modern banking services through the new branch,” the statement added.



The bank plans to open six more branches within fiscal year 2010/11.





Global Bank opens 27th branch in Kupandole



KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Global Bank Limited has extended its service in Kupandole, Lalitpur, from Wednesday.



Chandra Prasad Dhakal, chairman of the bank, inaugurated the 27th branch of the bank, according to the press statement issued by the bank. The bank now has 12 branches in the capital and 15 branches outside the capital.



“Customers will be able to avail various banking services from new branch,” the statement added.



Presently, the bank is offering Global women´s saving account, Global Future Star saving account, Global Subhalavh saving account and Global Deposit account and many others.



The bank has been providing 365 days banking, evening counters, locker facility, free-SMS banking and free internet banking along with other services like paying bill of NTC pre-paid mobile phones.





New Hyundai showroom



KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Laxmi Intercontinental Pvt Ltd, the official partner of Hyundai Motors for Nepal, inaugurated its new showroom at Thapathali on Wednesday.



The showroom was jointly inaugurated by Gi Baek Lee, deputy general manager of Asia Pacific Region, Hyundai Motors; Yoo Sung Gul, deputy chief of mission, Embassy of Korea; and Ganesh Bahadur Shrestha, chairman of Laxmi Intercontinental, according to a press statement received on Wednesday.



“Laxmi Intercontinental has been providing sales and after sales services to valued Hyundai customers since February and the inauguration of this showroom is another step towards providing enhanced services to its customers,” the statement added.



According to the company, the new showroom has been opened with the objective of providing improves services in terms of quality, space and ambiance to its customers.
