KATHMANDU, Jan 6: Ambassador of the United States of America, Dean R Thompson, paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Narayan Kaji Shrestha on Friday.
The US envoy reached DPM Shrestha's office at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Singha Durbar, to congratulate him, sources said.

Ambassador Thompson took charge of the US Embassy in Kathmandu only three months back.
During the meeting with DPM Shrestha, the US ambassador said Nepal and America enjoy long-term and strong relations and expressed the belief that it would be further consolidated in the coming days.
