CHITWAN, July 4: A man has died while bathing in a river in Chitwan. Suraj Basnet, 32, of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan died after being drowned and swept away by the Dumre River in Khairahani Municipality Monday morning.
He had come to visit his sister in Khairahani. According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, he came to swim in the river with his nephew when he was swept away by the river.
His body was found 200 meters below the place where he had gone for bathing. According to police, preparations are being made to send the body to Bharatpur Hospital for a postmortem.
