The districts include Banke, Bardia, Dang, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Rupandehi, Chitawan, Parsa, Makwanpur, Morang, Saptari and Kathmandu, according to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division.
Speaking at a program organized on Tuesday, Senior Health Administrator of the Division, Dr Biswaraj Khanal said so far 74 people in Nepal have been diagnosed with Dengue fever of which 32 were traced in 2006 alone.
According to statistics released by the Division, Dengue has spread in more than 100 countries and Singapore is the most affected by the disease.
Every year some 500,000 people are affected in the world while more than 24,000 die of the disease.
The Division organized an orientation program here in order to spread awareness about dengue infection.
Dengue fever is caused by Dengue virus (DENV), a mosquito-borne flavivirus. Dengue is transmitted to humans by the Aedes aegypti or more rarely the Aedes albopictus mosquito, which feed during the day.
