KATHMANDU, Sept 9: 12 people accused in the kidnapping and murder of Krishna Prasad Adhikari of Fujel, Gorkha have been acquitted by Chitwan District Court.
The single bench of Chief Judge Kul Prasad Sharma acquitted all 12 defendants except the prime suspect and fugitive Rudra Acharya. The court has decided to see the case of Acharya later, who is currently residing in Ireland.
The court has given clemency to Chabilal Paudel, Ram Prasad Adhikari, Kali Prasad Adhikari, Sita Tiwari, Subhadra Tiwari, Bishnu Tiwari among others.
Krishna Prasad Adhikari was killed after abduction on June 6, 2004.
