KATHMANDU, July 15: As many as 116 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) said on Wednesday afternoon.
At a virtual media briefing, spokesperson for the MoHP Jageshwar Gautam said that 116 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded during real time PCR tests conducted at 26 labs in various parts of the country.

"With new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, Nepal's COVID-19 tally has soared to 17,177," Gautam said.
The spokesperson said that 697 persons who earlier tested positive for coronavirus returned home after recovery in the past 24 hours. "With new cases of recovery, Nepal's COVID-19 recovery tally has reached 11, 025," he added.
