LAHAN, March 28: Police has nabbed 11 people on the charge of smuggling weapons from India in the last eight months. Eleven people were arrested from Siraha district for smuggling weapons, according to the police.

"The district is increasingly turning into a transit point for small weapons, which is a serious threat," said police officials. The people were caught with bullets, pistols and smalls guns brought from India.
"The police have intensified the checking and security system in the district," said Deputy Superintendent of Police Ek Narayan Koirala of Siraha District Police Office.
