Speaking at a press conference, Minister Yami said the government is planning to launch air services to Riyadh, Guangzhau, Lhasa, Frankfort and Londan by the end of 2010 to bring more tourists.
“We are also planning to increase flights in Mumbai, Shanghai and Tokyo routes from March 29,” said Yami.
She also informed that a special campaign involving high-level government officials will be organized to promote Nepali tourism in South East Asia, Middle East and neighboring India and China.
“High priority will be given to campaigns for promoting Nepali tourism in bordering cities of China and India,” added Yami.
Yami also assured that labor problems in different industries including tourism will not arise in the coming days as her party — Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) has given responsibility to party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal to deal with the labor disputes involving Maoist-affiliated trade unions.
