RASUWA, Nov 3: Hotels and lodges in Langtang Tourism Area will remain closed for months.
The association of hotel entrepreneurs in the region decided to shut the hotels after witnessing a surge in COVID-19 infection in the district.
The region saw more than 60 visitors daily in recent days.
According to the ward office of Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-4, hotels and lodges in Langtang Trekking Circuit, including Ramche, Lama Hotel, Riverside, Goda Tabela, Gumba Danda, Langtang, Mundup and Kyangin will be closed for visitors.
People had started trekking to Langtang during Dashain and Tihar vacations. Government offices and other private offices remain shut for weeks during these festivals.
Langtang, Gosainkunda and Helambu trekking circuit are among the most visited trekking routes in Nepal.
